R.I.P. Shawty LoCelebrity Gossip
Man! I can honestly say that this news hit me as a very unpleasant surprise. First and foremost I’d like to say my condolences goes out to Lo’s family and ALL of his kids and all of their mothers.
Early this morning I got a call telling me that the OG died in a car crash this morning heading down hwy 285. This is what we know about his death.
The rap artist known as Shawty Lo died Wednesday morning in a tragic car accident on highway 285. He was 40.
Channel 2 Action News confirmed the rapper whose real name is Carlos Walker died in a single car accident in South Fulton County around 2:20 a.m.
WSB-TV reports Walker’s Audi lost control and flipped over a guard rail, hit several trees and caught fire at the Cascade Road exit.
The police say Walker was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Two female passengers in the car were injured and taken to a hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The rapper’s manager confirmed the news in a tweet on Shawty Lo’s Twitter account Wednesday morning.
He leaves behind at least 11 children by several women including rapper Jai Jai.
Thanks to loyal reader Omar “Slim” White for the tip.
I initially ran into C Lo a few years ago down in Macon, my home town. A lot of people don’t know but the D4L crew had history of being in the city a lot, super cooling in Pendleton homes neighborhood as well as Bloomfield and Bird city.
I could be mistaking, but I think “Stuntman” still has family down In Macon Ga. The picture below is of and the OG from my old Facebook page. Man I was sleepy as hell.
But you can see me Lo and the D4L chopping it up and trying to get his studio equipment right and on point. You probably didn’t know this but not only am I an artist, businessman, etc. etc. But I’m also an engineer and producer. So yeah I really know how to mix and master for really real.
We spent a grip that – correction: HE spent a lot of money that day and then tried to blame me … lol But nahhh homie was a solid smooth dude if I do say so myself. It’s always hard to accept people’s unexpected deaths but I think I can stop trying to call homie and expecting him to pick up the phone now. Again, my condolences goes out to the family, his kids and the crew. RIP Lo – Braddy!
